About me
My name is Konstancja Cegłowska.
I am actively developing my leadership skills and expanding my intercultural competences. I participated in the Canada Study Tour and Leadership Program under the auspices of the Canadian Embassy, where I completed the Leadership Development Program organised by YoungLeaders World and the University of Victoria. In addition, I am fluent in Polish, English and German and am learning French. I have participated in youth conferences such as MUN and EYP and have been a representative of my school’s debate team for three years. I am also developing my artistic interests, having regularly attended singing lessons for nine years and succeeding in literary competitions. One of my short stories was published in the collection ‘Wind Phobia: The Paderewski Anthology’. In 2024, I won a silver medal at the International Psychology Olympiad. I am a member of the “Gifted” programme of the National Children’s Fund, a programme for the most gifted pupils in Poland, and the TalentOn programme for pupils who are exceptionally gifted in the social sciences and humanities. I also participates in the “First Tutor” programme, where I worked with a PhD student from the University of Warsaw, developing my knowledge in the area of social sciences. I am also the leader of a research project I am doing as part of a psychology research club supervised by my psychology teacher. The project investigates the impact of artificial intelligence on the cognitive functions of high school students, compared to traditional learning methods. The project has been shortlisted for the ‘Naukolatek’ research project Olympiad and presented at the conference in front of the jury consisting of academics from Rzeszów, Lublin and Białystok Universities of Technology. It received an award as one of the top 5% best projects.
In June 2024, I began to participate in three-month long prestigious Cambridge Future Scholar programme organised by the Cambridge Centre for International Reseach, where I had a pleasure of taking the course ‘The Behavioural Neuroscience of Emotion and Motivation’ under the guidance of Dr David Belin from the University of Cambridge. As part of the programme, I had the opportunity to write a literature review on meditation and Alzheimer’s diseases. I also had a chance to present my Earth and Mind research at the CCIR Research Symposium.
Recently, I was admitted to be part of the Junior Academy which is a project-based learning program where students form international teams and work with STEM experts through an online community platform. Students can participate in innovation challenges where they collaborate under the guidance of STEM mentors to design solutions to real-world problems.
In November 2024 I started volunteering with Mission Green Global, an organization aimed to fight for environmental issues, where I am the Chapter Lead for Lublin Voivodeship, Poland
